HOW TO CONNECT QUICKBOOKS WITH EBAY | QUICKBOOKS EBAY INTEGRATION

The seamless integration of eBay and QuickBooks Commerce helps sellers in managing their order, inventory and streamlines other operation  which enhances growth of their businesses. Before going further with integrating steps to sync eBay account with QuickBooks Commerce, it is important that sellers should review their Product SKUs on eBay. It is done as QuickBooks Commerce uses SKUs in identifying as well as matching inventory and quickbooks ebay integration . It is done so as to facilitates seamless inventory updates and also to streamline order management processes. Therefore, to begin with, sellers are supposed to log in to their eBay account and ensure that each product and its variants have unique SKUs.

 

Integrating eBay Store with QuickBooks Commerce

The complete process of integration is divided into major four steps-

4.   Errors

 

To install eBay App

1.   Firstly, users should go to QuickBooks Commerce app, and then go to main navigation bar and then click on ‘Browse Apps’

2.   Next, do click on eCommerce and then select ‘eBay built by QuickBooks Commerce’

3.   Now, users should click the ‘Install App’ button

4.   Next, users will be asked to connect their eBay store.

5.   Thereafter, users select their eBay site Country from the drop-down menu and then click ‘Continue’

6.   In case, sellers are selling their products or items on eBay in multiple countries then they are supposed to connect the respective eBay sales channels to QuickBooks Commerce. It is done for identifying the places from where orders are coming.

7.   Next, Sellers should set up connection for each and every country they are doing business (one sales channel per country). Now, they will be redirected to the eBay homepage where they have to Sign In accurately.

8.   Thereafter, a next pop-up screen will emerge and ask for confirmation in allowing their eBay store to integrate with QuickBooks Commerce.

9.   Now, users should click ‘I Agree’.

10.               Finally, users will be redirected back to quickbooks ebay integration  to complete their installation with the help of set-up wizard.

 

1.   Price List and Locations Sync

By QuickBooks Commerce installation wizard, users are supposed to

▪          either select a pre-existing price list and stock location for their channel, 

▪          or create a new price list and stock location.

 

The users should note carefully that name of sales channel will be used in the newly created price list and stock locations. Hence, the newly created or selected price list will be used to fill the prices of imported products on eBay as well as in syncing updated prices in the future.

In case, if no price list is selected then quickbooks ebay integration  Commerce will analytically use the default price list.

Next, the newly created or selected stock location will be used to prepare and adjust stock levels of imported products from eBay as well as syncing updated stock levels in the future. In case, if no stock location is selected, then QuickBooks Commerce will methodically use user’s account’s Default Primary Location, which can be found under Defaults Settings. 

 

Finally, on Main Navigation Bar, users should go to Settings, and then click on Configurations and their Default Settings will appear.  

 

2.   Product SKU

In Product SKU, the installation wizard will help users in getting information concerning the optimum usage of SKU aliasing capability of managing different SKUs across multiple sales channels.

The users should skip this step if they are setting up their own QuickBooks Commerce account with a single eBay Channel or managing the same SKUs across different channels.

Next, users should click ‘Confirm’ and this will complete their installation. Now, they will be redirected to their channel’s Dashboard tab.

Finally, QuickBooks Commerce is successfully connected with user’s eBay store but there is no synchronization for products nor orders which has occurred with eBay.

 

3.   Dashboard

Dashboard showcases operational and analytical data of user’s eBay store’s connection strength and configurations with QuickBooks Commerce. It will also display pack of health checks that will guide users to troubleshoot as well as fix several issues which might delay updates or order imports. After clicking on ‘Re-run Checks’ button, users can request to re-run the diagnosis and can refresh their screen browser tab, until the diagnostics are done appropriately. On day-to-day basis, diagnostics can be run on QuickBooks Commerce for user’s channel to make sure that they get updated results on their channel dashboard.

 

4.   Settings

This tab mainly consists of two min sections- Settings and Sync Options which helps users in specifying configurations for their eBay store and consists defaults that can be modified.

The Settings section consists of 6 main configurations, and they are:

Channel Name

Users are supposed to assign a custom name for their channel to identify them within their app.

Default Tax Treatment

If any fresh orders are successfully imported into quickbooks ebay integration  Commerce then it will have tax treatment set to whatever value it is selected (Exclusive or Inclusive).

Default Price List

If price sync is not inactivated, then any type of changes that are done to Variant prices or selection of a different default price list would generate price updates to the linked eBay variants.

If price under the default price list is nil or zero then eBay will not be getting any type of notifications. It is specifically done to prevent any type of accidental zeroing out of price on eBay.

 

Default Stock Location

In this setting, any order which is imported into quickbooks ebay integration  from user’s eBay store will be assigned to the selected location. During the import of product, stock of user’s eBay product will also get assigned to this location. If stock level sync is not inactivated then any types of changes in stock level done on the location or selection of a different default stock location would trigger stock level updates to the linked eBay variants.

 

Default Tax for Orders

The orders which are effectively imported into QuickBooks Commerce will be using the tax amounts, provided by eBay to calculate the tax rates applied to the orders. If tax type is selected then QuickBooks Commerce will automatically apply the selected tax rate to the product line items for newly imported orders.

 

Default Shipping Tax for Orders

After appropriate selection of the tax type done by user, QuickBooks Commerce will automatically apply the selected tax rate to shipping line items of the recently imported orders. The Sync Options section consists of 5 options that controls the disabling of syncs for different objects. They are further analysed by default every time the channel gets newly installed.

 

5.   Errors

Before enabling any sync between their eBay and QuickBooks Commerce account, if users are installing a new channel then they are supposed to resolve all errors in the dashboard. To view a list of all processing or operational errors, users are supposed to navigate to the Errors tab, to view error logs. To conclude, everything in user’s eBay is successfully synced with their QuickBooks Commerce account without any errors.
